Copyright and Related Legal Issues
The foremost service we provide is the monitoring of a photographer’s image copyright and protecting the rights of their photography. We are experienced in acting on the artist’s and client’s behalf to resolve business and rights matters.
We are also experienced in dealing with matters relating to model and censorship issues.
Our advisory service in this area is unequalled in its accessibility and cost-effectiveness.
Examples of past engagements:
We have advised and acted extensively on behalf of Lewis Morley’s archive by initially regaining control of the copyright of his “Christine Keeler” and “Joe Orton” images and thereafter ensuring that the copyright is protected.
We acted on behalf of Martin HM Schreiber and his clients with an issue relating to the licensing of his 1979 “Madonna Nudes” photographs.
More recently we acted on behalf of John Claridge with an issue relating to the unauthorised licensing of his Tommy Cooper 1967 photograph.
